The Daughters of the King of Anglican Diocese of Northern Malawi on Saturday May 4, 2013 donated several assorted items to precious children cared for by Mzuzu Crisis Nursery.
Items donated included: soap, nappy pins, cloth nappies, lotion, potatoes amongst others.
According to the President of the association, Madam Emma, the donation was intended to identify themselves with vulnerable children for the glory of the Lord. The main objectives of the Daughters of the King are Prayer, Service and Evangelism. As part of service, they thought it wise to visit the less fortunate children at the Nursery. It was their desire to respond to the needs of the children and appreciate the good work Ministry of Hope is doing through addressing the many challenges children are facing with in their infancy when the mother dies.
Nursery staff members received the donation with much delight and happiness on behalf of the children. It is encouraging to note that some Malawians have the spirit of uplifting and supporting the
welfare of children in the country. The gift presented to us would be used as intended in order to improve the welfare of the children.
